Martinizing Dry Cleaning franchisees pay a monthly royalty fee of the greater of 4% of total gross sales or $600 (after 24 months of operation) and a local, cooperative and national advertising fee of 3.5% of total gross sales. Additional fees include a promotional production fee and a franchise conference fee.

What You Get—Training and Support

The Martinizing training program consists of both classroom and hands-on training. Typically, franchisees spend one week of orientation in the Certified Martinizing Processing Plant in their market, three days of classroom training at corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, and another three days of hands-on training in starting up and opening their Martinizing Dry Cleaning business.

In addition to training, Martinizing provides operating procedures, marketing programs, site selection expertise, and other support services to assist in franchisees. Franchisees are paired up with an existing Certified Martinizing Processing Plant so there is no need to find a wholesaler. There is also a network of fellow franchisees designed to support each other’s business by providing advice and new ideas.

Territory

Martinizing Dry Cleaning grants exclusive territories.

Note: The tables and information regarding the number of operating units, investment required, on-going expenses, training and territory grants were taken from the company’s 2011 FDD. The 2011 write-ups will be incorporated into the 2012 Edition of Bond’s Top 100 Franchises publication.
