Cousins Subs

Click here to link to Cousin Subs’ detailed company profile

With over 33 years of excellence, Cousins Subs has been serving Eastern-Style submarine sandwiches that are 25% larger than the competition. Menu items include both hot and cold subs alongside freshly baked bread, delicious soups and garden salads made to order.

Franchisees have the potential markets both within the restaurant and throughout the franchisee’s market area via mobile sales units and catering opportunities. Bolstered by comprehensive support systems, Cousins Subs franchisees tap into a recession-resistant industry with implicit demand and a cash business with few receivables and minimal inventory.

What You Get—Training and Support

Franchisees and their designated managers spend a minimum of 21 days participating in on-the-job and classroom sessions at an approved Cousins Subs training facility. At store opening, franchisees receive ten days of assistance in training their staff by a Cousins Subs certified trainer. In addition, franchisees receive assistance with conducting on-site training sessions for hourly staff at least two days prior to opening day.

Each market area has an assigned Marketing Consultant who works with each franchisee. They will help to develop a local marketing plan for each store location. The National Advertising Fund provides the necessary point of sale merchandising materials to help promote sales within the store. Cousins Subs also provides professional brand-building execution of television, radio, billboards and coupon tactics. This is administered through participation with advertising co-op groups in the existing market area.

Territory

Cousins Subs grants exclusive territories only under its Area Development Agreement. Otherwise, Cousins Subs does not grant exclusive territories.

Note: The tables and information regarding the number of operating units, investment required, on-going expenses, training and territory grants were taken from the company’s 2011 FDD. The 2011 write-ups will be incorporated into the 2012 Edition of Bond’s Top 100 Franchises publication.
